Learn how to use scoping to fetch specific data fields and data models from customers, HRIS, or ATS systems with Bindbee. This guide covers how to select and deselect data models and fields, create a new connector, and verify the data received.

Scoping and Creating a New Connector

Step 1: Navigate to the scoping section. All data models and fields within each data model are pre-selected, allowing for model-level and field-level scoping.

Step 2: Create a new connector.

Step 3: Enter the customer's organization name. For this guide, Netflix serves as an example.

Step 4: Select a category. For this instance, choose HRIS.

Step 5: Assign a unique identifier to the connector.

Step 6: Click on Next and select BambooHR for reference purposes.

Step 7: Create a magic link. This link, sent to customers, contains the pre-built scoping configurations.

Step 8: The customer opens the link and sees the requested data fields.

Step 9: The customer clicks on allow and continue, enters their credentials, and clicks on next.

Testing the Connector

Step 1: Navigate to the connector tester to verify the type of data received.
