This guide details the process of setting up the Hibob connector by creating a service user and a permission group on the Hibob website.
Prerequisites: Make sure you have Administrator permissions in your company's Hibob instance
Setting up a service user
Step 1: Open the magic link provided. A pop-up page will appear. Click on allow to continue.
Step 2: The system will prompt for a Hibob token and user ID. To create these, navigate to the Hibob website and select settings.
Step 3: Click on the integrations tab, followed by service users and manage.
Step 4: Add a new service user by clicking on new service users. Provide a service username of your choice.
Step 5: Click on next.
Step 6: Copy the service token that appears and save it on your local machine. This will be used in later stages.
Step 7: Click on Done.
Creating a New Permission Group
Step 1: To create a new permission group, click on settings.
Step 2: Now click on the accounts tab, and then permissions group.
Step 3: Add a new permission group and give it a name of your choice.
Step 4: Select a tag of your choice and provide an appropriate description.
Step 5: Click on Select people by condition, then Select people.
Step 6: A pop-up will appear. Click on Select under ADD SPECIFIC EMPLOYEES.
Step 7: Click on the small icon next to service users to select the specific list of service users. This will display the list of existing service users.
Step 8: Check the service user just created, in this case, connector test, and click on apply.
Step 9: Click on Apply to proceed, then Create.
Step 10: Click Confirm to proceed.
Setting Permissions
Step 1: For the permissions, ensure to provide API access permission. To do that, Go to the Features Tab, and select API access.
Make sure to check the Manage REST API token option.
Go to People setting to give view access permission.
Select Club View: View the company's clubs view
Select Employees: Add new People to the company and Delete people from the company
Step 2: Select Organisational chart : View the company's org chart.
Step 3: Next, Go to People's data Tab
Select the People option
Step 4: Ensure to give all view access to this permission group.

Step 5: After setting the permissions, click on save.
Step 6: Review all the permissions provided, then click on Apply.
Step 7: Go back to Settings > Integrations > Service Users > Manage to copy the service Id
Step 8: Retrieve the service user ID from here.
Step 9: Paste the userId and token (from step 6 of creating service user) in the provided prompt.
Step 9: Click on connect.
The connection has now been successfully established.
