This guide explains how to create a connector with ADP Workforce Now, generate a client ID and secret, request a certificate, and set up permissions for the project.

Step 1: Open the magic link provided. This will lead to a linking page.

Step 2: Click on Allow and Continue.

Step 3: The page will prompt for a client ID and secret. To obtain these, navigate to API Central.

Step 4: Sign in to API Central and click on Create a Project.

Step 5: Provide an appropriate name and description for the project and click on next.

Step 6: For use case selection, select the appropriate use case as per your requirements. In this case, check Paid Time Off and click on Create Project.

Step 7: Once the project is created, click on View Project.

Step 8: Scroll down, copy the client ID, and paste it in the prompt.

Step 9: Click on Show Secret to reveal the client secret. Copy and paste it in the prompt.

Step 10: Click on Next to proceed.

Step 11: The page will now ask for ADP certificate details. To obtain these, return to API Central.

Step 12: Navigate to the certificate section and click on Request Certificate.

Step 13: Enter the required details and click on Next to proceed to generate a Private Key.

Step 14: Copy the private key and save it in your local machine for future reference. Paste the copied key in the prompt on the linking page.

Step 15: Click on Next.

Step 16: Click on Done once the certificate starts being generated.

Step 17: Click on View to see the certificate. Copy the certificate, download it, and store it locally for future reference. Paste the copied certificate in the provided prompt.

Step 18: Click on Connect. The connection should now be successfully established.

Step 19: Navigate to ADP Workforce Now and log in. Admin access is required for this step.

Step 20: Go to the setup section and click on Access Permissions.

Step 21: Navigate to Manage Profiles and find the profile created in Step 5.

Step 22: Go to Sensitive Personal Information and assign appropriate permissions. Unmask the details if you fields like bank account number, date of birth, salary rate etc. Set the following permissions for all data to be synced

Step 23: Save these settings. The data should start syncing shortly.
